New Camera
I ordered a new camera today! I am so excited!! It should be here in about a week. I got a Nikon D50 (digital SLR) and I can't wait to try it out!

AWESOME! Uh-oh though...you've arrived on a slippery slope! ha! Photography is an expensive hobby! And digital makes it so fun and addicting. Now you HAVE to get Photoshop! At least the newest version of Elements. It has more capabilities than the older versions. D50 is a good choice!
Oh, did you get it with the kit lens? Hope you saved a little money and opted not to get it...I haven't used mine in 8 months! Oh, well if not...the 18mm is pretty sweet for tight spaces!
I like Nikon. Plus, my lenses are interchangeable now. :) Photoshop is next on my list. I have a smaller digital, but it's not an SLR. Takes pretty good pictures though. At least digital is cheaper than film when developing! It's the equipment that is expensive... there's always something newer and better. :) Not to mention lighting, tripods, etc, etc. I have over a dozen special effects filter that I can't wait to use on the digital.. I never wanted to waste film "experimenting" with them on my other camera.
I didn't get the lens. Body only. I got the package with a 1GB memory card, a memory drive, case, lens cleaner and lcd protectors instead. :) The price wasn't too bad though.
That is sooooo cool! I so want an slr digital! I am JEALOUS!!!!
