Weddings and Showers and Babies... Oh My!

We have a very "young" church. Lots of young couples, young families, LOTS of young kids! :) Between that, and just being "that age", it seems that I am constantly going to bridal showers, baby showers, weddings and the hospital! I can think of at least 20 friends who have recently had babies (in the last 6 months!) or are pregnant!! It's fun, although it does get overwhelming at times. Most recently, I hosted a bridal shower for my friend Kayla, went to my cousin Lauren's wedding, and visited my friend Karissa in the hospital after the birth of her daughter Kaiya. Here are a few pics.

Congrats Lauren & Wyatt!!!
Congrats Karissa & TJ!!

Opportunity

Robert left this morning for a 2-week mission trip to the Copper Canyon in Mexico! It was a very last minute opportunity, and he just made the decision about a week ago. So we have been busy trying to get everything organized and packed before he left. I was gone for 3 days last week at a work conference, so that made things a little more hectic!

Please keep Robert and the rest of the team (there are 2 other guys from our church and several from other places going) in your prayers for the next few weeks. This trip is pretty physically intense, as they have to hike in and out of the canyon with all their gear.
Pray for safety and protection from injury and illness, as well as safe travel. Pray for unity among the team members and that they would be able to get all the work done they have planned. Also pray that God would use them to reach the Tarahumara people in the canyon.
I am excited that Robert was able to take this opportunity, but I will miss him!! Thankfully, I am very busy at work, and there are a lot of other things going on in the next few weeks as well, so hopefully the time will pass quickly! Just this weekend, I am... going to a kickboxing class, going on a hike with a friend, donating plasma, hosting a bridal shower at my house, working in the nursery at church, working in the church office, helping host a baby shower, going to 2 birthday parties, and possibly the drive-in! That doesn't include the errands I have to run (including grocery shopping and buying gifts for the showers and birthdays) and things I need to do around the house (cleaning, laundry, planting my garden)! So I don't think I'll have any trouble staying busy, but it would be more fun to have him here!
The weather has been gorgeous here lately - today it is sunny and about 90! Hopefully I'll get to enjoy it some this weekend.

My grace is sufficient for you,
for My strength is made perfect in weakness.
