Happy Birthday Bailey!

Our puppy Bailey turns 3 today! :) I guess that means he is no longer a puppy. :( Supposedly dogs calm down at about 3. HAHAHAHA.... He is much better behaved than he used to be though. And still so cute!

Everything is going well here... just busy. We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Lots of time spent with family. I'll try to post some more stuff later this week....

"Relatively" Calm Weekend

This weekend was fun, and not quite as busy as the last few have been. Saturday we planted some (yes, more) flowers in the backyard, went to Jonas's last soccer game, then got sno-cones with my family.

Saturday night we took dinner to Matt & Hannah, and I took this picture from the car on the way home. We have had great weather (and an awesome lightning and thunderstorm on Friday night!)

Sunday, we had Arin & JJ and the kids, my cousin Justin and our friend Nicole over for lunch and games. It was a fun weekend, and I am so glad it's almost summer!! I love being outside... and sno-cones! :)

Baby Cambree

Our friends Matt & Hannah had their baby girl last Monday. Little Cambree gave everyone a scare and spent a few days in the NICU, but is now home and doing Great!! She is so sweet.... I told Robert we need to get a baby of our own! :) I tried to get her to open her eyes for a few pictures, but she just kept making faces at me!

Big Girl

Every other Thursday night we watch Elyssa for my sister. She is getting so big, and has so much personality!! She is standing (not walking yet, but almost) and learning new words (I taught her "duck" a few weeks ago. She also recently learned "up" and "more".) She is definitely a snuggler, and loves to give hugs. She also has a babydoll she carries around and loves on, which is sooooo adorable! I can't believe she'll be a year old next month! Here are some pictures from this Thursday.

Weekend Photos

Here are some photos from this weekend.

These are from the Invisible Children dodgeball tournament on Friday. Lewey did an AWESOME job, and they had a great turnout. The first picture is the winning team. The others are Brooklyn; Karissa, Cortney, me and Brooklyn; and Robert and Nate as the dodgeball officials.
Saturday, we went to Twin Falls to celebrate Mother's Day with Robert's family. I went to a lunch at Centennial Park (in the canyon) with his Mom, sisters and nieces. Then we spent the rest of the day at his parents' house and celebrated Virginia's (Robert's little sister) birthday. She is going to Ohio for the summer to work as a costume designer for a theater company.

The bridge over the canyon coming into Twin Falls; Amy Joe (our niece), me, Virginia, Sylvia (niece) at the picnic in our crazy sunglasses.

Virginia and her birthday cake. Robert decorated it... it's a pirate ship. :)

Sunday we taught Sunday School, and I had 20 preschoolers and no voice! I have been sick for a few days and pretty much completely lost my voice this weekend. It was interesting. We took my mom to Red Robin for lunch, planted our vegetable and herbs outside in the garden, and then went swimming at the pool at Ashlie & Danny's apartment. (It has been sooooooooo hot here... record highs!)

Monday night we had a picnic at the park for Mother's Day (everyone wasn't here on Sunday). It was really nice out.

Robert, Isaak, Garrett, Jonas; the family at our picnic

Elyssa, Arin, Grandma, Mom; Robert & Isaak

Well, that about sums up our weekend. My friend Hannah had her baby last night, so I went to see them in the hospital this morning. She is adorable. They named her Cambree Marena. I might have some pictures later this week. :)

Busy Week

This week is sort of crazy for us. We have something going on EVERY night! Some nights we have more than one thing. I don't really like weeks like this, but it's life I guess. And I'm starting to feel sick on top of it. :oP I'm sure we'll make it through!

Tonight we're going to have dinner with some friends. They want pizza, and luckily the place they like, Papa Murphy's, has a light menu (1/2 the calories, 1/2 the carbs)! So we can get a Hawaiian Delite pizza and some salad and still not go over our WW points! :) Yay!

Wednesday, our small group is supposed to go golfing at Ridgecrest Golf Club. We are in between studies and are starting a new one next week, so this is just a fun chance to hang out. I am not sure yet if we will golf. I have never golfed before in my life (I don't think miniature golf counts!), plus it's kind of expensive... we'll see.

Friday we are going to help out at a carnival/dodgeball tournament our friend Lewey and his students (he teaches middle school) are putting on to raise money for the Invisible Children in the Sudan. If you have never heard of the Invisible Children, you should definitely watch the movie.... It will challenge you. And probably make you cry. (I did.) Anyway, it should be a lot of fun, and hopefully they have a good turnout.

I will try to post some good pictures later this week - after I charge my camera battery!

Another New Car...

Last weekend, we bought a car to replace the little Geo that was totalled in our accident. We have been through 6 cars in the last year! This car was for Robert, so he got to pick it out. He found a 97 Ford F150 extended cab for a really great deal! He really likes it, and so do I, even though I have been too scared to drive it yet. It feels like riding in a tank compared to the Geo and my Saturn! :) But it is a nice truck.
This weekend won't be nearly as busy for us as last weekend, so I am hoping to get some stuff done around the house. Working in the garden, of course, and I want to give Bailey a bath (not a fun task!) and wash the cars. I also need to reorganize the office, but it will be hard to stay inside! It is supposed to be sunny and in the mid-70s for at least the next 10 days!!
We have started the Weight Watchers points thing this week. And we are walking more. We both want to lose the (approx.) 20 pounds we have gained just since we got married!! It is going to be a challenge, but I am pretty determined. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Busy Weekend

This past weekend was incredibly busy... but also a lot of fun! On Friday, I kept Elyssa, Jonas & Isaak all night! It was an experience... a preview of the lack of sleep I will experience when I have kids! :) But we had a good time. Friday night we just watched a movie (Disney's Oliver & Company) and had some popcorn. Saturday we made pancakes, then planted my strawberries in the backyard. Jonas and Isaak were very helpful, especially with the watering. They found a really looooooong worm, which they were a little hesitant to touch at first, then they thought it was pretty cool.

Saturday night, the girls in the family got dressed up and went to dinner, then to the Mrs. Idaho America pageant, which my Aunt Lorraine competed in. The guys went to a prime rib & crab dinner and auction for Garrett's baseball team. Sorry the pageant picture is pretty poor quality... no flash photography allowed, so I had to take a picture without it. My aunt is the one in the green dress in the middle, and this is the beginning, when they were dancing. :)

Sunday after church, I hosted a baby shower for my friend Hannah, (the guys went golfing), then Matt & Hannah and Robert & I went out for pizza. The picture below is of the girls in our small group (Karissa, Erin, Hannah, me, Cortney & Brooklyn, Jess).
