Visitor

This week, we had a surprise visitor hanging out in our yard & flower beds. I have been watching, but haven't seen him back yet...

3 Years... and our Future Addition!

We celebrated our 3-year anniversary on September 17! It's crazy how quickly time goes by. We celebrated that weekend with a picnic dinner at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and watched Greater Tuna. It was really funny! The weather was perfect, and it was a great night.

Some of you know this already, but our present to each other this year was that we turned in our adoption application! It is something we have been talking about for a long time... we knew before we were even married that we wanted to adopt someday. We are VERY excited for what God has in store for us, and were told by the adoption agency that it could be a matter of months or less! We are trying not to get a timeline stuck in our heads and to just trust God's timing, and whatever happens we are praying for the baby He is going to bring into our lives. We appreciate your prayers during this waiting time, for patience, finances, and God's timing. We are currently working our way through the BIG stack of paperwork required for the home study, and once that is completed and approved we will officially be on the list! We will keep you updated on the progress. Thanks to our awesome friends and family who have already been so supportive and encouraging!!

Lazy Sunday

I love weekend days when we don't have any plans... it happens so rarely for us that it's even better when it does! Sunday was one of those days this week. After church, we headed home and spent the rest of the day watching football. I did do a little bit of work (I recently picked up some transcription work) but nothing too time-consuming. And I made some chocolate chip cookies and worked on a baby blanket I am knitting for my sister's baby (baby Trevan is scheduled to arrive at the end of October!). Overall, a nice relaxing day!

Here are a couple pictures of Robert & Bailey watching football. So sweet! I love the last one - Bailey is smiling! :)

Floating the River

Floating the Boise River is something we try to do every summer. This year, we barely squeezed it in - but we did it! I love spending a sunny afternoon floating in a raft down the river. :) The river goes through downtown Boise, and past the BSU stadium (which we passed right at kickoff last Saturday!). This time, we went with Arin & JJ, Chris & Candy and Audrey. There are a few small rapids, which are fun, and most of the trip is relaxing. We even saw a deer on the river bank this time. After the river, we went to P.F. Chang's for dinner... yummy!

Fundraiser

The fundraiser we held for Cliff & his family was amazing! My parents and grandparents did such a great job of putting it all together, and there were lots of people willing to help. There were probably at least 400 people in attendance - the building was filled up to the limit! :)

I didn't win anything at the Silent Auction, and I was working a computer most of the night (which, of course, crashed at the worst possible time), but it was still great to see how many people showed up to support and encourage Cliff! It is amazing how many people he has impacted in his life - and only a fraction of them could be there that night, I know there are many many more!

And, the really awesome part is.... we raised.... over $23,000!!! What a huge blessing for the Williams family! They leave this Friday for Israel, so please continue to keep them in your prayers as they travel, and that Cliff will have strength and energy to enjoy the trip.

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive through prayer and giving!

* Thanks to Chandra for the pictures! :)
